London Fashion Week SS18 - FW17 Recap

3 October, 2017

Where: London

What : Spring – Summer 18 and Fall – Winter 17 for Burberry

As specified before, just for Burberry this show is a Fall- Winter due to the fact they are working with the see now buy now ( something I really believe in, if you are an established brand!). Let’s talk about the collection. Omg I don’t know where to start with. I’ve always been a big fan of this British brand cause it really reflect my style but this show was amazing. I love the younger touch mix with a huge tradition. If I have to find for my favorite pieces well it’s so difficult. I loved the tartan pieces made in plastic, the mini skirts inspired to the British army, the socks with the sandals. Everything from this collection was looking great and most important wearable.

Erdem is the quintessential of British chic style. Every season I fall in love with the all collection for the rich details. This year it’s all about the royals and this “hommage” made the goal.

Christopher Kane

Kane every season confirm is great talent in mixing modern and classic. The collection is full of British references but designed to be very fresh and modern. My favorite pieces are probably the dresses made in collaboration with the American artist John Kacere. Brilliant!

Natasha Zinko

This young designer from East Europe is one on my favorite designer. In my wardrobe, a parte from big names, you can’t miss her clothes. I admire everything about her. From the approach that seems quite naive to the ability of play with sexy pieces like corsets making them wearable and amazing. This collection was an explosion of colors and different fabrics. From the fur slip on to the denim mixed with leather pants, everything was on point and excellent to beat London grey weather!

Mary Katrantzou

Colorful collection for the British designer, which every season confirm her dna and her ability. Her summer is an energetic one, a shot of energy to beat the British summer. I love how she can plays with color and pattern. My favorite piece are for sure the raincoat and the pvc boots.

Osman & Emilia Wickstead

Two brands with a word in common: elegance. In Osman case, all the reference the British tradition are on point and the modern touch made it perfect. The attention to details is impeccable and the total looks is effortless elegant and modern. On the other side, Emilia Wickstead stole my heart with this “baby” color palette”, perfect for summer. Everything looks like a delicate romance designed  for incurable romantics as I am.
